This song is for both Muslims and non-Muslims. For the Muslim community it is obvious we have some major issues to sort out. How have we deviated from the spirit of Islam of peace, forgiveness, love and compassion. What happened?

To non-Muslims it is a way to explain that Jihad isn't equivalent to Holy War (a word the Crusaders used to justify their killings of non-Christians). Jihad is that very struggle to be more God-like, i.e. merciful, loving, caring, etc., a challenge in our daily human struggle, a jihad.
